for greater things have yet to come...

A lot has happened since April. School is finished for now. I am home in Lafayette for the Summer and go back in late August, for those of you who were wondering. Since I've last written a lot has happened. Junior year wrapped up and ended on a good note. This past Spring semester was probably one of my favorite semesters at Catholic because of all of the things I was able to experience in a matter of months: Spain, Radio City, being 21...so many things.

Since I've been home I have been really busy. I started babysitting for Victoria and Ashley within one week of being home. They are really a hoot. Their personalities have really come out in the past year. I helped out with DeLarue's dance review again this year. It was a great 39th year, but something tells me that the 40th year will really be outrageous! I love working back stage, but if there was a way for me to get back on that stage, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Another highlight and true blessing was when Andy came to visit. He was here for a whole week which was such a treat. We took an airboat tour of the Atchafalaya and went to New Orleans one day and had a picnic in Audobon park. We walked all over the city in 100 degree heat, and it was such a blast--a hot, sweaty, sticky blast, but a blast nonetheless. We got stuck in traffic on the basin bridge for over 2 hours and ate beignets as we sat with the car doors opened and watched the sun go down. Overall, it was such a wonderful visit. It was a much needed visit, and my family was really happy to see him too.

The day Andy left, I left for Alexandria so that I could work on Service Crew for Steubenville South again this year. There weren't a ton of girls on staff, but we had such an amazing week. I got to meet up with Sarah Reech and Sara Moreau which was so good. I saw so many people I hadn't seen in such a long time. You know when you haven't seen anyone in a while and you wonder if they even remember who you are? That's how it was. It was like we would all stand in the YMC at Maryhill Renewal Center and stare at each other wondering if we all remembered each others' names...WE DID! Check out pictures and videos of the weekend at Steubenville on my Picasa site. You can access it by clicking the picture of me at my computer on the top of my blog!

I'll leave you with a video of a new Chris Tomlin song. Kelly and Josh really rocked this one out during the preparation of the gifts at mass Sunday!
